Playing in tournaments

What happens if I disconnect during a tournament?

Your clock will keep ticking. When you rejoin you may continue playing. If a new round starts while you are disconnected, a new match will start for you and your clock will tick in that match.

How do I start my tournament match?

You need do nothing. If you are signed up for a tournament /td will start your games for you automatically. Programs will get a "join" message. Games will start regardless of your aform or dform.

When do I find out my opponent?

When the match starts. Pairings are done in the instant before the round starts. This is to let people join or withdraw from the tournament until the last possible moment.
